☞ Why this subject matters...

As a hospital pharmacist, it is essential to have some research skills. We all need to understand how to evaluate and improve the services we offer to patients and colleagues, and how to evolve to meet changing NHS demands. One way to do this is with research because it gives us an evidence base to work with. Research requires quite a wide range of skills, so this tutorial is a brief introduction. It focuses on some of the expertise that you may need early in your career. 

It is aimed at foundation pharmacists, but for trainee pharmacists who wish to use these pages, they may help you achieve GPhC LO 55 Take part in research activities, audit, service evaluation and quality improvement, and demonstrate how these are used to improve care and services.
